Job Description

• Flexible working – We are guided by our client work and needs; however, you have autonomy to manage your time and diary to suit your work/life balance.
• Travel – Travel to client site will be necessary as and when the client requires.
• Workplace policy – PA Consulting operates a hybrid working policy. You will be expected to work from either a PA office and/or client location 2/3 times per week (based on a 5-day working week).

Our Sourcing, IT Strategy & Corporate Services capability is looking for a Sourcing and Procurement Consultant – Defence . You will have the opportunity to:

• Work on some of the most significant and complex sourcing challenges facing public and private sector organizations in the UK and internationally.
• Provide strategic advice on transforming sourcing teams, delivering complex multi-billion-pound procurements, and embracing technology to accelerate sourcing processes and harness data.
• Support clients in achieving their desired business outcomes by applying deep technical knowledge and innovative approaches to sourcing and procurement.

Qualifications

• Experience in strategic sourcing and/or procurement.
• For Principal Consultant roles, prior consulting experience is essential .
• Experience leading and supporting change or transformation initiatives in multifaceted stakeholder environments.
• Strong delivery experience from working on procurement, commercial, and strategic sourcing projects from buyer and/or supplier perspectives.
• Expertise in navigating complex procurement processes within the Defence sector to deliver successful value-for-money outcomes.
• Experience managing supplier service delivery arrangements or improving sourcing relationships.
• A proven ability to think creatively and commercially to solve complex procurement challenges.
• Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
• Strong self-starter with a growth mindset and excellent communication skills.
• Preferred qualifications include CIPS, MCIPS, IACCM, or equivalent sourcing certifications.
• Prior consulting experience in sourcing is advantageous.
