We are currently offering an exciting opportunity for a Soldering Operative to join our growing Foundry Team.
In a nutshell, your responsibilities will include:
Meticulously soldering brass parts using specialized techniques to ensure strong, aesthetically pleasing finishes.
What you are already great at:
- Soldering brass components according to specifications and drawings.
- Operating and maintaining soldering equipment, including torches and soldering irons.
- Preparing surfaces by cleaning and applying fluxes.
- Applying solder with precision to ensure proper flow and penetration.
- Inspecting soldered joints for defects and reworking as needed.
- Maintaining a clean, organized workspace and adhering to safety regulations, including PPE usage.
- Potentially preparing brazing solutions or silver solder applications.
- Following procedures and keeping accurate records.
- Learning new soldering techniques as required.
- Reporting issues and maintaining good communication.
Candidate requirements:
- Prior experience in soldering metals (preferred but not essential).
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Knowledge of safe brass handling practices (preferred).
