What will I be doing:
As a Python & Rust engineer within the Respond team, you will be responsible for improving our ability to stop in-progress cyber-attacks using proprietary software and third-party integrations. Your role will include:
- Contributing to rapid prototyping of new and innovative ideas to enhance Darktrace’s services,
- Working predominantly with core software modules written in Python and Rust,
- Enhancing the performance and capabilities of existing products and platforms,
- Investigating and advancing our unique methodology in defending against unknown cyber-attacks.
Innovation and creativity are highly valued, and exposure to various technologies and applications is advantageous. This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 2 days per week in the London office.
What experience do I need:
We welcome candidates with a solution-focused mindset and analytical problem-solving skills. During the interview, you should demonstrate proficiency in Python and Rust programming, understanding of writing production-level code, familiarity with Linux environments, Docker, containers, networking, and domain knowledge. You should also be:
- Comfortable working independently and making autonomous decisions, as well as collaborating within a team,
- Familiar with databases such as NoSQL and SQL,
- Knowledgeable about cloud computing environments,
Experience with other programming languages like C++ is beneficial but not essential.
