About Engineering at Engine by Starling:

We seek Backend Software Engineers to enhance the Engine Platform and develop new features for banks worldwide, including new offerings not yet available in the UK market.

Engine engineers are passionate about delivering new features across various tech stacks. We value engagement, customer focus, code quality, and the ability to solve diverse challenges in a collaborative environment.

• Contribute to our platform and tooling
• Develop new features and products from scratch
• Share knowledge and foster a learning culture

Requirements:

We prioritize aptitude and attitude over specific experience. While we mainly code in Java, expertise is not mandatory. We value clean, simple, automated, and continuously deployed solutions.

Our platform is built in-house, mainly in Java. Experience with the following is a plus but not required:

• Java
• Cloud platforms (AWS & GCP)
• Microservices architecture
• CI/CD tools (TeamCity)
• Terraform, Grafana
