Key job responsibilities
- Own the integration layer with all living room devices supported by Prime Video.
- Manage a software development team, hiring the right mix of SDEs to meet team goals.
- Collaborate with product and project teams to deliver innovative audio and video features.
- Work closely with third-party partners such as TV manufacturers, game consoles, chipset vendors, STBs, and MVPDs.
- Develop automated solutions for device onboarding.
- Define metrics to measure team progress, customer experience, and operational excellence.
- Ensure the team maintains customer engagement, adheres to SLAs, and manages software operations effectively.
About the team
You will lead a customer-focused team dedicated to enhancing streaming quality across thousands of devices. The team collaborates with multiple internal Prime Video tech groups and external partners, supporting various OS and programming languages to build cross-platform solutions.
Minimum qualifications
- Experience delivering products in fast-paced, multi-disciplinary, and ambiguous environments.
- Knowledge of the full software/hardware/network development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, certification, and live site operations.
- Experience managing high-caliber Software Engineers developing complex, scalable software systems successfully delivered to customers.
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams.
- Bachelor\’s degree.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience communicating requirements, technical designs, and product strategies with users, technical teams, and senior leadership.
- Experience recruiting, hiring, mentoring, and managing software engineering teams.
- Knowledge of video streaming technologies.
