Keoghs LLP is a leading insurance law firm in the UK, recognized for its dynamic approach. We are seeking a talented insurance lawyer for our Property Risks & Coverage Team, based in Bolton with flexible working options. The Recoveries sub-team works across national offices, primarily Bolton or Bristol. The SCT team collaborates across offices, so location is flexible.

This is a Claimant role handling Household and Commercial Property recovery files, typically valued up to £25K, involving a range of perils from reputable insurers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initial review/report – assess funding, prospects, and claim triage
  • Review evidence
  • Conduct investigations and establish causes of action
  • Instruct counsel and experts
  • Legal research
  • Drafting including letters of claim, claim forms, and particulars
  • Attend conferences and trials with counsel
  • Manage routine correspondence
  • Liaise with clients and insurers
  • Settlement negotiations and Part 36 offers
  • Prepare pre-action and interim applications
  • Prepare trial documents
  • Assist with ADR, including mediation
  • Attend court appointments
  • Conduct advocacy by phone and in person
  • Ensure compliance with SRA Standards & Regulations
Working Hours

35 hours/week, Monday–Friday 9am–5pm, with 1 unpaid lunch hour. Primary location Bolton, Parklands Office, with 2 days attendance required.
