Daniel Owen are proud to be representing a leading social housing contractor based in the South-East area who are looking for a Site Manager to join their team. They are looking for a candidate with previous social housing refurbishment experience.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Set up site prior to the commencement of project work
- Plan projects and ensure they meet agreed specifications, budget, and timescales
- Oversee building work
- Work with clients and report progress to professional staff (such as architects and surveyors) and the public
- Supervise direct labour and contracted staff
- Meet subcontractors
- Make safety inspections and ensure construction and site safety
- Check and prepare site reports, designs, and drawings
- Maintain quality control procedures
- Motivate the workforce
- Problem-solve
- Provide regular project updates to line manager
- Use specialist construction management computer applications
- Carry out regular toolbox talks
- Organise and arrange the procurement of materials and plant
- Have a proven track record of working on various planned works projects (Externals, Internals, Roofing, Cladding, EWI/IWI etc.)
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with client representatives and customers as appropriate, maintaining best practices and introducing innovative processes that add value and drive efficiency
- Able to price and programme works from drawings, organising labour and materials
- Operational focus - Someone who can manage various processes, oversee the operational delivery of the project, and is very organised
Key Knowledge:
- Previous Social Housing, Building Contractor, and local authority industry knowledge
- Valid SMSTS certificate
- IT and Excel literate
