Shutdown Operatives

Job Opportunity: Shutdown Operatives – August to December 2024 – FAWLEY

Fawley Refinery, the UK\’s largest integrated petrochemical complex, operates 24/7 throughout the year. During a planned maintenance shutdown, Trant Engineering is seeking several operatives to join our team on a fixed-term basis.

Due to the nature of the work, significant overtime is available. Expect approximately 60 hours per week on both day and night shifts, offering strong earning potential.

Subsistence allowances are provided for those willing to work away from home during the shutdown.

Operatives will work outdoors in small teams under supervision and will be responsible for:

1. Civil engineering works
2. Confined space work

Requirements:

• Experience in petrochemicals, civil engineering, or construction sites is a bonus (e.g., concrete bunds, reinforcement, formwork, pipework, excavations, confined spaces).
• Reliability, responsibility, good health and safety awareness, and a strong work ethic are essential.
• Rough terrain forklift and manual handling tickets are advantageous, but training is available for suitable candidates.
