Owing to business growth, our client is looking to secure the skills and services of a talented SHEQ Manager to operate from their HQ in Herts. This role offers a genuine opportunity to step up into a senior management position within a very ambitious business.

Purpose of the Position

The SHEQ Manager oversees the safety, health, environment, and quality assurance aspects of the business. He/she will develop, manage, supervise, and coordinate work systems to ensure that the company's production or services meet the highest quality standards and that working practices adhere to safety standards. Reporting to the Company Director, the SHEQ Manager will handle all instances of non-compliance and lead, develop, and maintain office and project SHEQ management programs and systems, both written and online, through face-to-face contact, communication, and team briefings. The role also involves supporting line management in achieving site SHEQ objectives.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement safety, health, environment, and quality assurance policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct safety audits and inspections.
  • Provide SHEQ training and awareness programs.
  • Maintain documentation and records related to SHEQ activities.
