Service Transition Lead
8 Months
Location: Birmingham or London. Expectation is two days on-site working per week
£.12 per day (Inside IR35)
The objective of this role is to support a programme of works to move shadow IT (all digital, data, and technology) across the organisation into the Digital Services Team. The role will assure the use of transition criteria, ensuring the services are fit for purpose and the processes appropriately followed. The role will deal with strong characters and therefore the successful candidate will require excellent stakeholder management skills, as well as influencing, negotiation and diplomacy.
Experience / Skills / Qualifications
- Extensive experience of Service Transition – essential
- Project Management – essential
- Experience in undertaking or leading an Mergers & Acquisition (M&A) in the context of IT Services
- Experience in shaping a transition / carve out strategy for IT
- Experience in translating a strategy to a deliverable programme for separation, merger or decommissioning of corporate and IT services
- Experience in managing the financial carve out and driving value to minimise stranding costs / technical debt
- Experience in developing integration strategies, service offerings and service onboarding
- A deep understanding of digital, data technology solutions in corporate / IT services
- An awareness of how to define service levels for newly onboarded services
- Experience in leading business cut over for critical services
- Experience in business change and managing people impacts of M&A’s
- Experience in managing different levels of stakeholders in a matrix environment up to CIO / Exec level
- Experience in leading the development of mapping the current state of the organization and desired future state for in scope services – undertaking relevant due diligence where required
- Experience in identifying optimisation / rationalisation initiatives to drive value in improving the overall operating model
- Need to have worked across; Applications, ERP, Infrastructure, Data, Cloud, Architecture, Cyber Security
- Standard experience of delivery, budgetary management and risk management.
