Service Delivery Engineer - Alt-Net

Your focus will be to install and service their overhead and underground network using the specifics of Openreach’s PIA network. You will be involved in network maintenance, including the installation of CBTs, and strive to resolve customer and network outages, acting as a supply network. Responsibilities Work daily on customer residential installations, assisting with both overhead and underground cabling and CBT installations. Follow correct procedures for fibre splicing and testing at various points along the installation process. Install fibre cables and CBTs, adhering to Openreach’s PIA policies. Perform fault finding using OTDR back to the exchanges. Complete minor civil works, including blockage clearances, when needed. Maintain health and safety standards across sites. Qualifications and Experience Minimum 1 year of experience in fibre installations. Experience with both overhead and underground cabling and installations. Previous experience with fault finding using OTDR. Experience working on the Openreach or PIA network. BT Accreditations such as SA001/SA002/S7/S8 are desirable.
