Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technical External Contractor to join our IT team as a Technical Business Analyst. The role involves overseeing the successful delivery of a software solution developed by an external vendor, ensuring integration with our internal architecture and data infrastructure. You will bridge the gap between our IT department, business operations, and the external vendor, translating business needs into technical requirements and ensuring successful implementation.
This position requires coordination across multiple internal technology teams and projects, some following Agile (Scrum) methodologies, others using traditional approaches.
You will work closely with the product management team to drive scope and requirements, acting as the key technical interface for the vendor, and ensuring alignment with internal standards, infrastructure, and deployment processes. The ideal candidate is collaborative, detail-oriented, and adept at managing complex stakeholder landscapes and hybrid delivery models.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee the technical delivery from the external vendor, ensuring alignment with internal architecture, data flows, and security standards.
- Act as the vendor’s primary point of contact for internal technology processes and environments.
- Develop and maintain detailed functional specifications, process flows, and use cases.
- Facilitate integration efforts across multiple internal tech teams and delivery streams.
- Support the business product management team by translating requirements into technical steps for the vendor.
- Ensure compliance with internal testing, change, and release processes, guiding the vendor accordingly.
- Identify and address data requirements not fulfilled by existing sources, managing internal dependencies to meet these needs.
- Collaborate with the PMO responsible for tracking project status, risks, and issues, ensuring effective governance.
- Mitigate technical risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and communication, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Drive continuous improvement in delivery practices and processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor\’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst or similar role, preferably with external vendor integration.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Experience in IT project implementation and system integration.
- Understanding of Agile (Scrum) and Waterfall methodologies.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Knowledge of IT systems, AWS platform, and software development processes.
- Familiarity with internal technical standards, infrastructure, testing, and deployment processes.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
