Job Description

Title: Senior Technical Architect (EUC)

Location: York, London, or Colchester, UK

Type: Contract (6-12 Months)

Overview

As a Technical Architect, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining capability strategies and roadmaps for core capabilities aligned with our End-User Experience (EUX) and Core Infrastructure Platforms (CIP) value streams. Your role involves defining robust infrastructure solutions across a hybrid cloud environment, identifying new technologies, and ensuring architecture reflects in service delivery. You will collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders across the global Hiscox operation.

Responsibilities

1. Work with business units to define complex technology solutions.
2. Maintain relationships with business and enterprise architecture practices.
3. Act as a trusted advisor across IT Services.
4. Create target and transitional architectures for significant technical changes.
5. Develop capability strategies and roadmaps, engaging key stakeholders.
6. Provide architectural governance and oversight through appropriate forums.
7. Support infrastructure engineering to reflect good architectural practices.
8. Create artefacts like High-Level Design and Solution Assessment to guide changes.
9. Engage with vendors for technology selection and relationship management.
10. Collaborate with commercial teams to ensure cost-effectiveness.

Requirements and Experience
