Project: Construction of a slow the flow flood defence reservoir, including Earthworks, bentonite cut-off walls, and surface water drainage.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake daily setting out duties independently.
- Train, manage, and mentor Junior Engineers.
- Manage site sample and performance testing, maintaining records per contract specifications.
- Complete hazard/risk assessments and method statements.
- Manage site service plans/drawings and issue permits.
- Assist with records and claims documentation alongside the site QS/Project Manager.
- Monitor and control temporary works.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Candidate Requirements
- Strong communication skills and team collaboration.
- Experience with main contractor heavy civil schemes.
- Experience in progress reports, quality records (ITPs, site diaries, inspection records), design and temporary works coordination.
- CSCS card required.
- Minimum qualification: HND in Civil Engineering; a Degree in Civil Engineering, First Aid, and SMSTS are desirable.
