Location: Lowdham, Nottingham

Project: Construction of a slow the flow flood defence reservoir, including Earthworks, bentonite cut-off walls, and surface water drainage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake daily setting out duties independently.
  • Train, manage, and mentor Junior Engineers.
  • Manage site sample and performance testing, maintaining records per contract specifications.
  • Complete hazard/risk assessments and method statements.
  • Manage site service plans/drawings and issue permits.
  • Assist with records and claims documentation alongside the site QS/Project Manager.
  • Monitor and control temporary works.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Candidate Requirements

  • Strong communication skills and team collaboration.
  • Experience with main contractor heavy civil schemes.
  • Experience in progress reports, quality records (ITPs, site diaries, inspection records), design and temporary works coordination.
  • CSCS card required.
  • Minimum qualification: HND in Civil Engineering; a Degree in Civil Engineering, First Aid, and SMSTS are desirable.
