Job Overview

Develop, evaluate, characterize, and validate protein purification processes for monoclonal antibodies and other recombinant proteins. Support transfer of these processes to pilot and GMP scale.

Key Responsibilities

1. Plan and design experiments for downstream process development of therapeutic proteins.
2. Design and execute high throughput chromatography methods.
3. Manage own projects, ensuring safety, quality, timeliness, and accuracy.
4. Escalate technical issues promptly.
5. Record experimental details, raw data, and results accurately.
6. Analyze data to produce high-quality process information.
7. Collaborate within cross-functional project teams.
8. Prepare and deliver presentations, protocols, and reports.
9. Maintain up-to-date training.
10. Contribute to laboratory efficiency.

Key Requirements

1. BSc or PhD in Biotechnology or relevant scientific discipline with laboratory experience.
2. Experience with Tecan Evo and/or Fluent programming.
3. Knowledge of protein chemistry and purification.
4. Strong practical laboratory skills.
5. Experience with laboratory scale AKTA chromatography.
6. Excellent communication skills.
7. Strong planning and organizational skills.
8. Proficiency in Unicorn software.
9. Knowledge of GLP/GMP standards.
10. Experience with process transfer and scale-up to cGMP manufacturing.
11. Stakeholder management experience.
12. Knowledge of GAP analysis methodologies.
13. Experience in process characterization and validation.
14. Operational excellence experience (e.g., 5S).
