Bennett and Game are currently looking for a Senior Scaffold Design Engineer in Maidstone or Bristol. Bring your 5+ years of experience in design-focused roles within UK construction projects, including expertise in TG20, BS5975, T&F, and system scaffold design, to be a part of our dynamic team and contribute to the growth of our scaffolding division.
Responsibilities:
- Manage & co-ordinate the progress of the design through the offices communicating with the customer.
- Be able to work autonomously and produce designs & technical drawings using CAD and analysis software.
- Ensure IDH design procedures are adhered to, and CDM/H&S requirements are clearly identified within our schemes.
- Maintain high quality of visual presentation for all designs.
- Work closely with the company Directors and other Senior Designers across all offices to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of designs.
- Dive into a range of exciting projects, applying your expertise to diverse scenarios.
- Create compelling designs and technical drawings, making complex solutions easily understandable for clients.
- Ensure flawless planning, design, and implementation of scaffold design, embracing the latest software and tools.
- Conduct site visits, detailed surveys, and develop innovative solutions for ultimate safety.
- Provide crucial technical support to colleagues, working independently on multiple projects even under tight deadlines.
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, preferably working towards Chartered Status.
- Construction site knowledge and commercial skills.
- Proficiency in 2D CAD and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to interpret engineering plans and section details.
- Advanced IT skills.
