Job Description:
Research Scientist / Research Engineer, (or perhaps someone who is a bit of both) required to perform literature reviews and relevant patent analysis, work with mechanical and electronic engineering teams to design temperature and load sensors, supervise PhD student cohort and help set the direction for future research. Key skills:
- 2:1 or above in Civil / Mechanical Engineering or Materials Science.
- PhD relating to materials, sensors or comparable field.
- Post doctorate research experience.
- Practical experimentation experience ideally designing and building equipment.
- Python, MATLAB or other scripting language for data analysis.
- Desirable skills include; LabVIEW or similar, CAD tools or industrial chemistry.
