Job Description

I am recruiting for a Senior Regulatory Advisor with an energy business in London. You will:

1. Monitor and analyse EU, GB, and Belgian regulatory initiatives, particularly Network Codes and legislative changes. Prepare briefing materials and draft consultation responses. Take lead responsibility in selected areas.
2. Analyse issues and develop appropriate public materials on proposals.
3. Brief key internal staff on regulatory issues, present options for implementation, and help achieve compliance.
4. Support the commercial team in developing new services, review their regulatory compliance, and draft their terms and conditions.
5. Maintain the company\’s relationships with regulatory and governmental authorities alongside the Head of Regulatory Affairs; confidently represent the business at stakeholder meetings and forums.

The Successful Applicant

You will have:

• A degree preferably in Engineering, Economics, Law, or a related subject.
• Regulatory knowledge and interest in the energy sector (ideally experience in the energy industry with some regulatory exposure). We are also open to applicants from other highly regulated markets interested in energy.
• Good analytical and numeracy skills to review, analyse, and report on complex information.
• Effective communication skills for internal and external stakeholders, including excellent drafting and verbal presentation skills.
• Willingness to undertake UK and European travel.
• Critical thinking and attention to detail.

What\’s on Offer

Up to £70,000 PA DOE plus bonus and benefits.
