Within our consult business, we harness our unique combination of leading-edge practical expertise and project delivery consultancy to unlock the potential in every project.

The project:

Are you looking for a career which is rewarding, at the cutting edge of project development and where you can really make a difference? Come and join our expanding Sizewell C (SZC) team and work on one of the most exciting and largest megaprojects in the UK, whilst being at the forefront of the UK’s climate change agenda and energy policy. The SZC Project is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.

Working for the PMO lead functionally and embedded within one of the Delivery Programmes to take responsibility for all aspects of Project Controls. To help lead the establishment, development, maintenance of timely, accurate cost data, and reports, including forecasts, performance analysis, earned value, Estimates to complete, and monthly reports on the Actual Cost of Work Performed (ACWP).

It is the overarching objective of the Project Controls Function to act as a centre of excellence: the intelligent owners of the single source of delivery performance information, operating as an integrated enabler for the successful delivery of the SZC Project.

Our values shape the way we consult, and define the people we want to join us on our journey:

You will manage Project teams in the administration of the PMO and Project Controls process, particularly with respect to the cost, schedule, change, risk and reporting.

You will support senior PMO stakeholders in influencing long term development of strategy for a function or Business Unit (BU), creating a sustainable business future.

You will commit to making a positive impact for our people, our clients, and our planet, and take ownership for holding others to account who do not uphold the Mace values.

Create opportunity – For our people to excel:

You will mentor, coach, and develop your project team and provide an environment to share knowledge and experience.

You will actively network, innovate, and seek understanding of best practice, utilising the full depth of knowledge of Mace Group, the Centres of Excellence, Mace Way Control Centre and Knowledge Hub.
