Who are we looking for?

To act as product steward for designated product group and to champion quality standards within the Business, ensuring the highest quality standards are achieved. Working closely with manufacturing to ensure all products manufactured meet the highest standards of quality.

What will you be doing?

  • Act as first line contact for the resolution of manufacturing technical problems.
  • Make ‘Go/No Go’ decisions when the Process Laboratories encounter difficult borderline cosmetic quality issues, ensuring that the right decision is made on whether to continue to manufacture or to stop and take corrective action, thus minimizing cost of quality.
  • Decide and facilitate the disposition of Blocked stock and poor quality G3 rolls within the designated product range.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement teams for quality improvement and waste reduction.
  • Ensure standards defined within the quality system are maintained and reflect the correct standards to match customer expectations.
  • Support customer audits and resulting action plans.
  • Ensure appropriate specifications are in place for the designated product group.
  • Manage the progress and completion of complaints.
  • Identify key quality issues/trends in customer complaints, providing feedback to all relevant parties.
  • Support new product introduction for the designated product group, including trial support.
  • Lead teams which contribute to the strategic development of manufacturing processes.
  • Train and support quality control staff in specific needs of designated product group.
  • Facilitate product acceptance into manufacturing.

Who are You?

  • Graduate level in Science or Engineering discipline.
  • Quality experienced and with the tenacity to gain support from others.
  • In-depth understanding of designated product group.
  • Industrial experience in process industry.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and skillful negotiator.
  • Flexible in approach to work and able to adapt to quickly changing priorities.
  • Good understanding of the customers’ processes.
  • Ability to work unaided at a customer site and to represent the business at the customer in a confident manner.
  • Experienced in the product manufacturing processes to provide data and guidance to a customer.
