Hybrid Working

About the role
This role is key within Engine’s Product & Technology team, ensuring we understand client needs, sell suitable solutions, and develop the right products. We seek a Payments specialist to lead and shape our product offerings in this domain, which includes:
- Customer and employee-facing Payments experiences supported by our platform
- Developing generic Payments services to expand client offerings
- Collaborating with clients to integrate Engine solutions with local payments providers and schemes
We value versatile, collaborative individuals who enjoy problem-solving and detailed understanding of client needs, working across product strategy, requirements gathering, and engineering.
What you\’ll do:
Product consulting
- Deeply understand Engine’s Payments capabilities and work with Business Development and Delivery teams on sales and client discovery
- Engage clients to understand their needs, conduct workshops, and demo Payments features
- Design and document Payments solutions, clarifying capabilities and limitations
- Propose product improvements aligned with strategy, collaborating with engineering
- Deliver training to partners and clients
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to inform product roadmap
- Create sales materials reflecting product and client insights
Product ownership
- Specialize in Payments, understanding schemes, infrastructure, integrations, and operational processes
- Design product enhancements aligned with business vision, considering client needs
- Develop technical understanding of the product and collaborate with engineering teams

Requirements
Your background
- Experience in Payments and possibly Retail/SME banking
- Knowledge of customer experiences, operational processes, and Payments schemes on a technical level
- Background in Product Management or working with Engineering teams as an SME
- Ability to quickly understand problems and present solutions
- Curiosity about technology and how things work
- Technical aptitude and motivation
- Excellent storytelling and presentation skills
- Comfort with ambiguity and flat organizational structures
- Attention to detail and proactive accountability
