Job Description:
We are currently working with a leading residential developer seeking a Senior Planning Manager on either a temp to perm or permanent basis to join their growing business. You will join a company with strong financial backing, an extensive pipeline of current and future work, delivering high-end residential homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in planning processes of both active and strategic sites. You will oversee and progress the division’s existing strategic land portfolio, seek out and negotiate new strategic land opportunities, appoint and manage external planning consultants, and generally provide advice to the land team.
You will be expected to:
- Be responsible for the planning processes of both active and strategic sites.
- Manage all external consultants within the process as well as liaise with landowners and their agents, council planning bodies, and private sector bodies.
- Oversee and progress the division’s existing strategic land portfolio and seek out and negotiate new strategic land opportunities.
- Provide assessments of how to manage the planning process from start to finish.
- Monitor progress of planning status of all local authorities and negotiate S106 terms with local authorities, solicitors, and barristers.
