Our Third Party Administration (TPA) department is a dynamic team managing a varied portfolio of clients. They provide market-leading services on Defined Benefits (DB), Defined Contribution (DC), and CARE pension arrangements. We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Pensions Administrator within our Client Services team in Edinburgh or London.

What will your role look like?

You will deliver high-quality administration services, assist members with complex pension issues, and support the development of less experienced team members. Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and updating member records accurately.
  • Processing member events such as Retirements, Deaths, Early Leavers, Transfers, and Quotations.
  • Serving as a technical reference point for non-standard cases.
  • Escalating complex queries to the Team Leader and technical support.
  • Providing consistent, efficient service to clients and members, aligned with service level agreements.
  • Collaborating with the Principal Administrator and Team Leader to improve operational efficiency.
  • Managing scheme events annually and periodically.
  • Coaching and supporting junior administrators' development.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Experience in pension administration for DB, DC, and CARE schemes.
  • Strong awareness of the UK pension market, legislation, and industry best practices.
  • Experience with pension systems like UPM or similar.
  • Customer service experience and effective communication skills over the phone.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and organize workload efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills with clients, members, and colleagues.
  • Teamwork skills and leadership qualities, including mentoring juniors.

Ideally, candidates will hold or be working towards a professional qualification such as the Associate Membership of the Pension Management Institute. We also welcome applicants with relevant industry experience and UK pension market knowledge.
