Salary: up to £52,566 per annum
Study Group will deliver a selection of postgraduate and undergraduate courses for the University of Huddersfield (UoH) at a campus in London. The campus aims to attract a diverse international student body seeking high-quality teaching of UoH with an industry-focused learning experience and strong employability options in London.
Responsibilities include:
- Designing and delivering teaching materials across modules or within a subject area, using appropriate teaching, learning support, and assessment methods to ensure student progress.
- Designing, marking, and providing feedback on assessments to facilitate student improvement.
- Planning, designing, and developing learning outcomes and materials within the subject team.
- Contributing to curriculum revision and content delivery improvements.
- Supervising student projects, field trips, and placements.
- Maintaining accurate records of attendance and progress, and completing academic administration.
- Acting as a personal tutor and providing support or guidance to students.
- Serving as a module leader.
- Engaging in professional and pedagogical research, including publishing or other outputs.
- Mentoring less experienced colleagues and support staff where relevant.
- Participating in recruitment activities, external networks, and quality assurance processes.
- Attending meetings and committees, including chairing as appropriate.
- Implementing university and Study Group policies and regulations.
- Undertaking other duties as directed by the Head of School or Senior Leadership Team.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) and a Doctoral degree in a relevant subject, or near completion.
- Teaching qualification or Fellowship of Advance HE (or capacity to obtain within 12 months).
- Experience in designing and delivering undergraduate and postgraduate curricula/modules.
- Experience supervising postgraduate research and dissertations/projects.
- Established record of research and scholarship in a relevant area.
