We are currently looking for a Senior Investigations Officer on a 12 month full-time fixed term basis. This position sits within the Regulation and Conduct Department, in our London office (hybrid working).
The Job
- Investigating complaints about professional conduct
- Exercising strong case and time management skills
- Reviewing and assessing documentary evidence
- Drafting witness statements
- Drafting clear and detailed reports of findings and decisions
- Drafting Consent Orders and Reports of Disciplinary Allegations
- Preparing associated bundles for hearings
The Person
- Is a qualified solicitor, barrister or accountant with significant post-qualification experience or a significant specialist investigatory experience in a regulatory environment
- Has experience of making decisions and articulating their reasons in writing
- Has commercial (e.g. company law) and regulatory awareness (e.g. AML)
- Is confident to research areas of practice they are not familiar with
- Is interested in unravelling (sometimes voluminous) facts and information and identifying the key issues
- Is happy to work autonomously and is self-motivated to progress their own case load in keeping with KPIs
- Is comfortable working remotely
- Has experience of conducting investigations within a professional regulatory body
