Senior Events Manager – Central London

The Langham, London; Europe’s first Grand Hotel and Forbes 5* rated property, is currently recruiting for a Senior Events Manager to join our talented Catering and Conference Services team. We are looking for a true hospitality professional, with the flair to deliver service at the highest level.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Event planning, rooming list coordination, and BEO details once the signed contract has been turned over as ‘Definite’ by the Sales Team.
  • Ensuring high revenue / VIP bookings are handled seamlessly and with extra care and attention to detail.
  • Conducting weekly Group Resume meetings and ensuring the effective handover of all Group logistics to the Operations teams.
  • Supporting planners with their own bookings during challenging periods.
  • Assisting with event enquiries as required, primarily focusing on corporate, and supporting social, weddings, and short-lead enquiries when required.
  • Driving and championing projects related to developing the events and catering business.
  • Achieving monthly, quarterly, and yearly Catering and Groups revenue goals.

ABOUT YOU

  • Previous experience within events management in a hotel environment at a manager level.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong administrative and organization skills.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task a number of different activities.
  • Previous use of Opera and Salesforce systems.

This is a full-time role, working a minimum of 40 hours per week, with a degree of flexibility required for early/late and weekend work, as required by the events you will be managing. One day of homeworking is available after the successful completion of the probationary period.
