Job Description:

Overall job purpose

To play a key role in delivering reactive assignments across a diverse client base. This includes being a lead consultant in investigations and related assignments. The role requires working independently or as part of a team, and involves client-facing responsibilities as a trusted fraud advisor. The candidate should have experience in criminal investigations related to fraud and financial crime, working with various clients and assignments. Responsibilities include delivering investigation services and supporting clients facing fraud issues, with investigative work compliant with relevant legislation.

This description provides an overview of main duties but is not exhaustive. Flexibility and adaptability are essential, as reactive investigations may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities

The post holder will ensure high-quality service delivery, producing case files and presenting cases in court. Additional duties include client support, project management, and adhering to policies and procedures. Travel may be required, and candidates must undergo enhanced DBS and propriety clearance. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Essential

  • Experience in fraud prevention, detection, or investigations
  • ACFS qualification
  • Proven experience managing criminal investigation cases
  • Ability to handle multiple investigations within deadlines
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Client-focused with a flexible approach
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of fraud and bribery legislation
  • Proficiency in IT and office software
  • Team player with relationship-building skills
  • Willingness to travel and undertake overnight stays if necessary

Desirable

  • PIP Level 2 Investigator or equivalent
  • Full, clean driving license with own vehicle
