Job Description:

We’re BDO, an accountancy and business advisory firm providing the advice and solutions entrepreneurial organizations need to navigate today’s changing world.

We work with Britain’s economic engine—ambitious, entrepreneurially spirited, high-growth businesses—and advise their owners and management teams.

We’ll broaden your horizons

Our Advisory team offers a wide range of services that deliver value-led advice. They possess in-depth knowledge of business, industry sectors, and markets, understanding the changing risks and opportunities. They work across strategy, operations, and transactional projects, covering technology, risk advisory, and more. Joining them means working on exciting financial operations and business deals, building your expertise alongside industry leaders.

We’ll help you succeed

Our quality advice stems from a thorough understanding of our clients’ businesses, built through close collaboration and long-term relationships.

You’ll be proactive, able to manage your tasks independently, and confident in collaborating with senior stakeholders to enhance service delivery. You’ll also identify opportunities for additional services.

As a Senior Consultant in the Financial Services Accounting and Corporate Reporting Advisory team, you will support Directors, Associate Directors, Senior Managers, and Managers in delivering quality client service. Your responsibilities include advising on accounting change (IFRS 9, 16, 17, interest rate benchmark reform), group reorganizations, financial instruments accounting, climate and corporate reporting, and training.

This role suits a technically skilled individual at Assistant Manager/Executive level, with experience in financial services either client-facing or technical, seeking to expand their professional scope.

You should have:

  • A professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP, and relevant laws (e.g., Companies Act)
  • Experience in delivering complex accounting and reporting advisory projects
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Experience with clients in the financial sector, especially banks or insurers

We value authenticity and offer flexible working arrangements. BDO is committed to supporting your career growth through various programs and resources.

We’re in it together

Mutual support and respect are core to our culture. We provide mentoring, coaching, and state-of-the-art collaboration spaces to foster learning and teamwork.

We’re looking forward to the future

BDO helps entrepreneurial businesses succeed, fueling the UK economy. We invest in our people and adapt to ensure continued growth and excellence, shaping the future with openness and clarity, empowering creative thinking.
