The post holder will coordinate and manage a clinical research portfolio including in-house, national, and international phase I, II, and III clinical trials. Positions are available in cellular therapies and paediatric/TYA oncology and haematology. Responsibilities include patient and colleague education, care coordination for trial participants, biological sample collection and preparation, data collection, and monitoring drug and treatment side effects. The post requires developing specialized skills in clinical trials, therapies, and disease sites, enabling patients to make informed decisions about participation by providing advice and acting as their advocate. The role supports research across all oncology and haematological malignancies and includes cross-coverage within the team. Main duties of the job Support clinical trials in Paediatric and TYA oncology as per GCP guidelines. Collaborate with research team members, including Nurses, Practitioners, and Data Managers. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate trial protocols within a multidisciplinary team. Identify and evaluate potential patients for trials, ensuring all pre-study tests are completed. Act as a patient advocate, obtain informed consent, and register or randomize patients. Educate patients and families on clinical trial concepts, objectives, procedures, side effects, and follow-up. Provide direct patient care within the trial scope, including history taking, toxicity and response evaluation, and administration of experimental agents. Document patient information and schedule assessments. Collect and prepare biological samples according to protocol. Train team members and assist with trial setup and coordination. Consult with Principal Investigators and Sponsors on trial development and delivery.
