ADI Global Distribution, a division of Resideo, now have the opportunity for a Senior Product Category Manager – EMEA to join our team based in Chadderton, Oldham. The focus for this role is to drive the strategy, roadmap, strategic supplier relationships, growth, and profitability for a fast-growing category of products. This role will develop and execute product mix and pricing models, while identifying, initiating, cultivating, and managing supplier relationships. Alongside this, the role will be responsible for managing a team of category managers across EMEA. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate that understands the EMEA market, its competitive landscape and can translate business strategy into sales growth.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Full ownership of a product category across EMEA.
- Creating strategic plans for the product category, including growth and promotional programs to achieve budget objectives.
- Managing end-to-end vendor relationships, including identification, contract negotiation, product assortment, marketing programs, and communications.
- Growing the product category profitably in line with gross margin targets, while adhering to working capital and IOS (Inactive, Obsolete, Surplus) requirements.
- Work with ADI leadership team by clearly communicating new opportunities, new products or suppliers and resolve transactional issues as needed.
- Work with your supplier partners, ADI's marketing, sales, and procurement teams to ensure effective product marketing and sales drive of your product category.
- Developing and executing on product mix, inventory, and pricing strategies based on historical data, industry trends and customer buying patterns.
- Identify opportunities in new, or emerging markets and technologies to drive future growth.
- Be the product leader and SME assisting with the implementation of new ERP system.
- Manage EMEA wide team of Category Managers across widely varied markets and competitive landscapes.
YOU MUST HAVE
- BS/BA Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Management, or similar field.
- 5+ years’ work as a professional product/category manager; product marketing manager OR buyer/merchant in retail, e-tail/catalogue, distribution, or similar environment.
- 5+ years’ work experience with Microsoft Office Products, including Excel, Word, or PowerPoint.
- A willingness to travel.
- Ability to provide strategic leadership, direction, and development.
- Ability to support field sales with special pricing, inventory positions, vendor relations, and product issues.
- Experience generating tactical and strategic category roadmaps and detailed plans including annual and 5-year plans.
- Ability to create reports and analyse data.
