About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Buyer to join our team in the pallet industry. Based in Doncaster, this role is integral to sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing high-quality pallet products. You will work closely with our suppliers and internal teams to ensure the smooth flow of materials and achieve cost-effective procurement solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute purchasing strategies to meet business requirements.
- Manage supplier relationships, ensuring the best pricing, quality, and delivery times.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and product innovations.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate procurement to meet production demands.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient supply chain operations.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance.
- Assist in managing budgets and achieving cost-saving initiatives.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in purchasing or procurement, ideally within the pallet or manufacturing industries.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of supply chain management and inventory control.
- Fluent in Russian (highly desirable but not essential).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software.
What We Offer:
- Competitive salary of £35,000 – £40,000 per annum.
- Full-time, office-based role (Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00).
