We are currently working with an independent, forward-thinking, award-winning architectural practice that has a Senior Architectural Technician job available. This role would see you working with one of the leading practices in the growing retirement living and care sectors. Established for over 50 years, this award-winning architectural practice consists of 20 dedicated professionals. Renowned for delivering client-focused projects in the retirement living and care sector, they offer a family-feel business environment and are passionate about the well-being and development of their staff.
Due to their impressive track record and strong client relationships, they are currently seeking an enthusiastic Senior Architectural Technician to join their team. This role offers flexible hours and hybrid working arrangements, making it an excellent opportunity for a motivated Senior Architectural Technician looking for a supportive and dynamic work environment. Role & Responsibilities- Take a lead role in the running of a technical team
- Oversee multiple projects
- Work with the team to help develop junior team members
- Allocate work and resources
- Provide technical guidance and support to clients
- Develop project briefs and feasibility studies
- Prepare and present design proposals
- Use Revit on a daily basis
- Check drawings
- Ensure compliance and quality standards
- Evaluate environmental impact and sustainability
- Obtain and evaluate tenders and contracts
- Liaise with local planning, building control departments, other statutory bodies, and outside organizations
- Attend regular meetings with clients, contractors, and other specialists, including engineers and surveyors, to ensure buildings meet necessary standards
- Collaborate closely with construction specialists on-site
- Obtain feedback from clients and building users, and report on contractor performance once the construction project is completed
- Appraise the performance of buildings in use and produce maintenance management information.
- Qualified as an Architectural Technician
- Ability to use Revit is essential
- Possess a minimum of 10 years’ experience in Architecture
- Experience with NBS Specification and Sketchup is beneficial
- Proven track record of team management
- Freehand drawing ability would be beneficial
- Good understanding of building technology
- Experience in care or retirement living projects would be highly beneficial
- Strong knowledge of UK building and CDM regulations
- Care about the impact of designs on the end user
- Due to site locations, you will need a valid UK driving licence.
- 23 Days annual leave
- Option for hybrid working of Wednesdays and Fridays after probation
