Tired of the same old routine? Want to be your own boss and bring lightning-fast internet to London homes? Community Fibre is looking for enthusiastic and skilled Self-Employed FTTH Engineers to join our growing team!
As a Fibre to the Home (FTTH) Engineer, you’ll be on the front lines, connecting Londoners to the digital world. You’ll be responsible for installing and activating our cutting-edge fibre broadband service in residential properties. This is a field-based, customer-facing role, so your friendly demeanour and top-notch technical skills will be key.
You must have a valid SA001 – PIA Overhead Safety and S8 – PIA Overhead Cable Installation accreditation.
What You’ll Do:
- Connect London: Install FTTH broadband services, handling both external and internal cabling like a pro.
- Reach New Heights: Work comfortably at heights up to 15 meters, including on telegraph poles and ladders (don’t worry, we’ll provide the training and equipment!).
- Be a Customer Champion: Deliver exceptional customer service, leaving a positive impression with every installation.
- Take Pride in Your Work: Self-audit your installations to ensure they meet our high standards and exceed customer expectations.
- Safety First: Adhere to all Health and Safety regulations, including daily vehicle and equipment checks.
- Keep it Clean: Maintain a tidy work environment, respecting customer properties.
- Weather Warrior: Be prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions – London can be unpredictable!
Requirements
- Essential Certifications: Hold a valid SA001 – PIA Overhead Safety and S8 – PIA Overhead Cable Installation accreditation.
- Driving Force: A Full UK Driving License (held for at least 1 year with a maximum of 6 penalty points) is essential.
- Communication Superstar: Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers.
- Problem Solver: Proactive approach to tackling engineering challenges.
- Customer Obsessed: A genuine commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
- Flexible Friend: Willingness to work outside of core hours when needed.
