Security Support Officer required to support our client located just outside of Winchester.

Salary: Β£13.00 per hour

Contract: 0 hours flexible, mainly day shifts (07:00 - 19:00) and some night shifts (19:00 - 07:00)

The ideal candidate will live locally (Southampton, Salisbury, Andover, or Basingstoke) and ideally have own transport, as the site is difficult to access by public transport.

Must have SIA Licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervision) and be somewhat familiar with computers (Word/Excel).

What you will be doing:

  • Working within the Mobile Security Team, driving a dedicated vehicle, attending sites as directed, investigating alarms, completing patrols, utilizing technology, and providing emergency guarding to meet customer needs.
  • Create a secure environment where customers, employees, and visitors can thrive.
  • Promote confidence with every customer, colleague, and stakeholder through effective decision-making, communication, and professional security standards.
  • Follow assignment instructions, risk assessments, and customer policies at all times.
  • Respond effectively to incidents, alarms, and events, escalating to emergency services, the customer, and the Security Operations Centre as appropriate.
  • Ensure positive engagement with colleagues, customers, and the public.
  • Complete planned rota and shifts to provide security cover as needed.
  • Utilize TRACKTIK to complete patrols and report incidents or alarms.
  • Promote safety culture, awareness of H&S risks, and report accidents or near misses.
  • Secure properties of customers, employees, and visitors at all times.
  • Prevent unauthorized access by persons, vehicles, or objects.
  • Respond promptly to unplanned events, following site procedures.
  • Deliver excellent customer service consistently.
  • Engage in training and development activities to enhance skills.
  • Conduct site visits to ensure security standards, report risks, and promote compliance.
  • Perform vehicle inspections, ensuring safety and maintenance.

About You:

Experience, Skills, Qualifications:

  • 5 years’ experience in the security industry (desirable).
  • Full UK driving license.
  • SIA license – Security Guard/Door Supervision.
  • SIA license – CCTV (depending on site).
  • IT systems (user level).
  • Level 3 in First Aid (desirable).
