We're looking for a Security Operations Engineer to join our Information Security and Compliance team. You'll be pivotal in managing information and cybersecurity risks, ensuring compliance with industry standards and taking ownership of a range of security tooling and testing. This position will see you collaborating with internal stakeholders across Engineering and Internal Services, and engaging with third-party suppliers to uphold TradingHub's information security commitments and maintain client trust.

Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of security operational activities across the organisation
  • Automate activities wherever possible to reduce the ongoing Security Operations manual tasks burden
  • Deploy, configure and manage security tools including firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus and endpoint protection
  • Monitor systems for security breaches and suspicious activity, investigate incidents and coordinate responses appropriately
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, prioritize risks and collaborate on timely remediation with system owners
  • Lead the collection and presentation of technical evidence supporting compliance during periodic audits
  • Perform forensic analysis, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation, including relevant content of TH policies and standards

Requirements:

  • Hands-on expertise with AWS cloud technologies and security services
  • Extensive experience with security tools and technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP and endpoint security
  • Good knowledge of assessment and scanning tools Nessus, Inspector or SecurityHub
  • Proficiency in configuring firewalls, intrusion systems and antivirus software
  • Proven experience using scripting or programming languages to achieve automation goals
  • Good understanding of networking fundamentals & operating systems
  • Experience with security incident response, including forensic analysis, root cause analysis, and incident mitigation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with SAST & DAST tools SonarQube or ZAP
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as SOC2 and ISO 27001
