Security Officer

LOCATION: Thistles Shopping Centre, Stirling

PAY RATE: £11.94/hour, 42 hours p/w

SHIFT PATTERN: 5 over 7

ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE

We are looking to appoint a proactive Security Officer with customer service at the forefront of all they do to maintain a safe and secure shopping environment for all our customers and staff. This is a permanent contract covering holidays with advanced notification of shifts. SIA DS or SG Licence required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Carry out daily/weekly/monthly duties as outlined in the site Assignment Instructions
2. Be present on the mall to ensure a safe and secure environment is maintained
3. Conduct patrols covering all areas of the shopping mall and service yards
4. Take an active role in emergency situations including first aid and fire warden
5. Oversee external contractor management to ensure safe working practices

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

1. Enjoy working part of a team as well as the ability to work independently to reach the shared goal
2. Good communication skills both written and verbal to assist with accurate report writing
3. Smart, well-groomed and confident
4. Conflict Management aware
5. High level of customer care awareness
6. Familiar with patrolling and monitoring from both a loss prevention aspect and health & safety
7. SIA Door Supervisor/Security Guard licence
