Job Summary:

The primary focus of the role will be to work closely with internal teams and external partners to support and drive analysis, strategy, and execution of the Industry Development agenda. Strong analytical skills and end-to-end ownership are critical. This role requires collaboration with product areas, strategy, regulatory affairs, public affairs, legal, technology operations, fintech centres of excellence, and external engagement with industry associations, regulators, and vendors. The position is based in London and reports to the head of Industry Development.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate relationships with key Industry Associations, track regulatory initiatives, and develop engagement strategies, focusing on T+1 settlement advocacy and industry engagement.
  • Assist in analysis, strategy formulation, and engagement planning for key FMI and industry utilities.
  • Analyze opportunities arising from the evolving post-trade landscape and regulations to support new product and partnership development with internal and external providers, including digital products and services.
  • Prepare and update briefing papers with recommendations for senior management regarding project initiation or ongoing monitoring.
  • Coordinate with product industry development leads and SMEs to ensure comprehensive and accurate project requirements.
  • Work with product owners to allocate resources effectively to achieve project success.
  • Create metrics to track progress on industry initiatives and develop reporting tools to keep management informed of progress, risks, and challenges.
  • Engage with clients through bilateral discussions and custody publications on industry and regulatory developments affecting the post-trade landscape.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Self-starter with a drive to learn quickly and work autonomously; creative thinking skills.
  • Understanding of the industry, preferably from operations, product management, or client service roles.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to coordinate stakeholders towards common goals.
  • Interest and knowledge in digital innovation areas such as digital assets and artificial intelligence, and their impact on custody and securities services.
  • Ability to quickly understand and articulate complex post-trade concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Business acumen to understand drivers and analyze data; experience in business case development is advantageous.
  • Experience in product management and regulatory environments is a plus, or demonstrable understanding of core concepts.
  • Strong analytical skills and stakeholder collaboration abilities.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools for communication and presentation.
