Location - London, Farringdon or Sheffield, Pond Street (Hybrid, 3 days in office)

At Royal Mail Group, we are undertaking a major SAP transformation and upgrade programme. As an SAP Architect, you will shape, design, and support the development and delivery of change across the RMG SAP technology estate. You will be a subject matter expert and responsible for ensuring that Royal Mail gets the most out of our SAP platform.

What will you do?

  • You will be responsible for ensuring that Royal Mail gets the most out of its current and future investment in SAP.
  • Understand the business challenges and produce the design, or perform assurance of a supplier-driven design, to meet the business outcomes whilst aligning with good practice for SAP solution management.
  • Offer guidance and advice to both business and technology teams on solution options, design, and assurance.
  • Drive and manage the SAP solution roadmap in the respective functional area, covering both incremental improvements to existing solutions and processes, and bringing new ideas and innovations based upon the SAP product roadmap and other broader industry trends.
  • Work closely with business and project teams to understand strategies, processes, pain points, and effectively communicate solutions to them.
  • Work with a range of SAP products, from old to new, and deliver balanced pragmatic solutions, making the best use of solutions available.
  • Understand and champion the latest SAP developments and solutions, identifying where they can add value to the organisation.
  • Drive a simplification agenda and optimise business processes using SAP standard processes and techniques to enable business agility.
  • Have experience in SAP Application Development and Integration concepts and tooling.
  • Experience in a multi-disciplined project team with the ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences appropriately.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to take ownership of problems and subsequently resolve them by consulting and approving solutions.
  • Engage with and manage stakeholders across a broad range of levels to achieve a consensus and then champion delivery.
  • Have experience with large SAP upgrades and transformational programmes.
  • Experience of delivering end-to-end SAP solutions into complex organisations.
