Job Description:

Who are we?

Founded in 2005, Pierce Washington helps clients transform their quote-to-cash process.

We are creating a next-generation Total Commerce Company and will own the Total Commerce category – a fast-growing segment in the tech industry.

This is the place to come to if you want to work with the best, get in at the ground floor and help sustain and grow one of the best places to work.

Who are you?

You are an experienced functional Solution Architect who specializes in Salesforce Sales Cloud and loves to collaborate with clients to design and implement solutions that drive sales efficiency and effectiveness. You strive for and deliver excellence for yourself, your team, and your clients.

You have a natural curiosity to uncover a client’s pain points, key requirements and implicit needs and the charisma to cast a vision for what is possible with Sales Cloud.

You architect solutions and then guide the Consultants and Developers on your project team to implement your solution designs by leveraging your declarative configuration expertise, working with leads, opportunities, accounts, forecasting, workflows, automation, AI-driven insights, and sales analytics.

You also have experience working with Developers to build custom Salesforce applications and integrate Salesforce with ERP and other systems.

What you get to do:

Your primary responsibility is to design and deliver sales automation solutions using Salesforce Sales Cloud, beginning with the sales process discovery phase through implementation, providing functional guidance to your clients and the consultants on your team.

  1. Operate in a client-facing capacity to gather, synthesize, and translate business requirements into well-architected solutions that deliver Salesforce Sales Cloud best practices.
  2. Lead discovery workshops to gather, define, and document current and future state business processes and functional requirements.
  3. Lead high-level integration discussions and design workshops and create current and future state architecture diagrams.
  4. Develop robust, scalable, and flexible solutions through the creation of architectural designs, prototypes, and proof-of-concepts.
  5. Act as the overall solution owner during the implementation phase ensuring the project’s scope and outcomes are on track.
  6. Conduct solution architecture reviews with project team members prior to design and development activities.
  7. Serve as the functional lead and coach team members to implement declarative configurations and customizations.
  8. Demonstrate a strong understanding of Salesforce Sales Cloud capabilities.
  9. Develop and present solution options to clients, evaluating the pros and cons of declarative configuration against code and customization.
  10. Provide detailed level of effort estimates for proposed solutions.
  11. Articulate the benefits and risks to a solution’s feasibility and functionality.
  12. Follow and understand new Salesforce product and technical capabilities.
  13. Assist in interviewing candidates to hire the best consultants into our practice.

What you bring to the role:

6+ years of Salesforce industry experience in a consulting capacity working with the Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud and a proven understanding of the software development lifecycle.

3+ years of hands-on experience with Sales Cloud, including Opportunity Management, Forecasting, Lead & Account Management, and Sales Analytics.

Experience with data migration across different systems.

1+ years’ experience with Salesforce CPQ.

Prior experience as a Solution Architect or similar role on 4+ Sales Cloud projects that were at least 6 months in duration and included integrations with ERP systems.

Complete understanding of data models, product/pricing master data management and standard ERP integration reference architecture.

Hands-on declarative configuration expertise implementing products and price books, price rules, flows, advanced approvals, discounting, quoting, invoicing, and amendment and renewal processes.

Working knowledge of custom development concepts such as flows, lightning components, apex, triggers, and web services.

Excellent client-facing written and oral communications skills.

Experience in the High Tech or Manufacturing industries highly desired.

Active Salesforce certifications or ability to achieve relevant certifications upon hire within first several months.

Required Salesforce certifications: Administrator, Sales Cloud Consultant.

Preferred Salesforce certifications: Service Cloud Consultant, Platform App Developer, Experience Cloud Consultant, MuleSoft Certified Developer.

Experienced in project management theories, practices, and methods including Agile.

Experienced with Visio, JIRA, Prodly, Copado, or similar tools desirable.

Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or engineering.

What we’ll do for you:

Competitive compensation package.

Health, vision, dental, life & disability insurance.

Flexible, collaborative work environment with a commitment to work-life balance.

Work anywhere, with full remote and hybrid options depending on location.

Learn and challenge yourself in a fast-paced, growing tech company.

More about us:

Since 2005, Pierce Washington has helped enterprises transform their quote-to-cash process in four ways: we implement CPQ, eCommerce, and Billing & Subscription Management solutions and we integrate those solutions to ERP and other enterprise systems.

By focusing on these four areas – and doing them well – we have built our reputation as the go-to partner for our clients.

Our commitment to each client’s success is the foundation on which Pierce Washington was built.

None of this success would have been possible without the synergy we have with our employees.

Our commitment to each employee’s personal growth and development yet still highly valuing work/life balance, all within a culture of collaboration and teamwork, is why being a part of our team is an exciting next step in your career!
