We are seeking a Sales Executive to strengthen our UK sales team. The role involves extensive experience in Air, Sea, and Road Freight sales. This field sales position covers either the Midlands or London and surrounding areas. You will drive and generate new business by selling NX Air, Sea, Road, and Warehousing products, while building strong, lasting relationships with new and existing customers to maximize satisfaction and revenue. The ideal candidate is resilient, determined, experienced in targeting and hunting new business leads, and capable of managing the sales process from initiation to delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and develop new opportunities through telemarketing, direct mail, and client visits
  • Build a portfolio of accounts from targeted business development and existing networks
  • Cold call and schedule meetings with prospects and clients, providing tailored consultative services, including upselling
  • Promote Nippon products and services through presentations and demonstrations
  • Collaborate with the UK sales team to plan strategies and activities to increase profitability
  • Handle customer inquiries, escalations, and queries as the initial contact point
  • Maintain personal budgets, opportunity pipelines, and activity reports using Salesforce
  • Identify opportunities to improve services and build long-term relationships
  • Create Standard Operating Procedures with operational departments for seamless onboarding of new accounts
  • Manage client bases in designated areas, resolving operational and financial issues proactively

Candidate Profile

  • Experienced hunter in Air/Ocean/Road/Logistics sales
  • Commercial thinker with a tenacious attitude and drive to succeed
  • Proactive, able to work independently, understanding client needs
  • Excellent communication, persuasive, and influential skills
  • Service-oriented, capable of winning business based on service quality
  • Skilled in developing proposals and pricing strategies to outperform competitors
  • Entrepreneurial mindset to adapt sales strategies and seize opportunities
  • Proven experience in freight forwarding/logistics sales with a successful track record
  • Degree-level education preferred
