We have a thrilling new opportunity for a Safety Case Engineer to support multiple projects under a multi-million-pound infrastructure portfolio in the West of Scotland.
You will assist in the oversight, supervision, and assessment of the production, maintenance and development of the Client suite of safety cases for the totality of the authorised site. The role will also include the requirement for the authorship and development of safety cases or associated safety management arrangements in support of client operations.
The work you do will give you exposure to senior stakeholders and project teams and you will be part of a highly skilled and ambitious team.
Typical Activities
- Attendance at review and project meetings.
- Attendance at Hazard Identification Workshops, optioneering reviews and other stakeholder meetings.
- Reviewing of Safety Case documentation in accordance with Client arrangements and versus Relevant Good Practice Expectations.
- Development of Safety Case Documents.
What We Need
You will have demonstrable experience of safety case delivery or assessment in a nuclear environment. We would like to see excellent communication skills, attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
Security Requirements
You must have, or be eligible for, SC clearance. Due to the nature of this project, only British born nationals will be considered.
Location
Limited travel to site may be required, for example for Facility Walkdowns, however the role would typically be expected to be conducted remotely.
Qualifications
Suitable qualifications and experience relating to Safety Case Delivery / Assessment. Accredited Degree in an appropriate ‘STEM’ discipline (or equivalent qualification and experience). Desirable: Chartered Engineer.
