Job Title: Part-Time In-Store Cleaner

At Arcus, cleaners are a vital part of our company. We are looking to recruit a part-time In-store Cleaner based in Sainsbury\’s Biddulph store on a fixed-term basis. This role offers 18 hours per week at an hourly rate of £12.21, with an immediate start available.

Shift Patterns

Sainsbury\’s stores are open 7 days a week. We offer various shift patterns, including 5 and 6-day work weeks, with shifts in the early morning, morning, afternoon, and evening, including weekend work. The current shift pattern for this role is:

• Sunday: 08:00 – 11:00
• Monday: Day Off
• Tuesday: 05:00 – 08:00
• Thursday: 05:00 – 08:00
• Friday: 05:00 – 08:00
• Saturday: 05:00 – 08:00

You will also have opportunities to increase your hours through overtime.

Responsibilities

Arcus cleaners take pride in maintaining clean and safe environments within Sainsbury\’s supermarkets. Your daily tasks will include:

• Operating cleaning machinery
• Thorough cleaning activities such as mopping, vacuuming, wiping, and sweeping
• Cleaning toilets, surfaces, ceilings, windows, or oven canopies as needed
• Maintaining outdoor areas like trolley bays, keeping them free of leaves and debris
• Applying all health and safety procedures

Training and Requirements

Full training will be provided. Previous cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential. Key qualities include:

• An eye for detail and cleanliness
• A positive attitude towards cleaning and customer service
• Ability to provide a smartphone with NFC capability to access our Arcus Connect App for recording time and attendance (a condition of employment)
