Join Our Team as an In-store Cleaner at Sainsbury\’s Carlisle

Are you passionate about maintaining cleanliness and working in a customer-focused environment? Do you enjoy working as part of a team to deliver sparkling results for customers? Arcus is seeking a dedicated full-time In-store Cleaner based at Sainsbury\’s Carlisle store on a permanent basis. This role offers 31 hours per week at a rate of £12.21 per hour, with an immediate start available.

Sainsbury\’s stores operate 7 days a week, and we provide various shift patterns, including 5 and 6-day workweeks. Shifts include early morning, morning, afternoon, and evening hours, with weekend work. The current shift pattern for this role is:

• Sunday: 06:00 – 12:30
• Monday: 04:00 – 09:00
• Tuesday: Day off
• Thursday: 04:00 – 09:00
• Friday: 04:00 – 09:00
• Saturday: 06:00 – 11:00

You will have opportunities to increase your hours through overtime.

As an Arcus cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness within our Sainsbury\’s supermarkets to ensure a safe and pleasant shopping environment for customers. Your tasks will include, but are not limited to:

• Operating cleaning machinery
• Performing thorough cleaning activities such as mopping, vacuuming, wiping, and sweeping
• Cleaning toilets, surfaces, ceilings, windows, or oven canopies as needed
• Keeping external areas like trolley bays free of leaves and debris
• Following all health and safety procedures

Full training will be provided to support you in your role.

Requirements:

• Previous cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential
• Attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
• A positive attitude towards cleaning and customer service
• Ability to provide a smartphone with NFC capability to access our Arcus Connect App for recording time and attendance (a condition of employment)
