Job Title: In-store Cleaner

At Arcus, cleaners are a vital part of our company, and we are looking to recruit a part-time In-store Cleaner based in Sainsbury\’s Halstead store on a permanent basis. This role offers 10 hours per week at an hourly rate of £12.21, with an immediate start available.

Sainsbury\’s stores operate 7 days a week, and we offer various shift patterns including 5 and 6-day workweeks. Shifts include early morning, morning, afternoon, and evening, with weekend work. The current shift pattern for this role is:

• Sunday: 07:00 – 09:00
• Monday: 06:00 – 08:00
• Tuesday: 06:00 – 08:00
• Thursday: 06:00 – 08:00
• Friday: Day off
• Saturday: Day off

You will also have opportunities to increase your hours through overtime.

Responsibilities:

• Operate machinery and conduct thorough cleaning activities including mopping, vacuuming, wiping, and sweeping to ensure stores are kept clean.
• Clean toilets, surfaces, ceilings, windows, or oven canopies as needed.
• Maintain outside areas, keeping trolley bays clean and debris-free.
• Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed.

Arcus provides full training to support you in your role.

Requirements:

• Previous cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential; on-the-job training will be provided.
• An eye for detail and cleanliness.
• A positive attitude towards cleaning and customer service.
• Must provide a smartphone with NFC capability to access the Arcus Connect App for recording time and attendance, which is a condition of employment.
