Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of older adults? Wyldewoods Retirement Village in Chester is excited to be on the lookout for a dedicated Resident & Wellbeing Co-ordinator to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to be a key player in shaping our brand-new community from the ground up.

As a Resident & Wellbeing Coordinator, you’ll play a crucial role in creating and maintaining a supportive environment for our residents. This role involves working days, with shifts of 7.30am - 2.30pm and 1.30pm - 8.30pm, 2 days per week, over 7 days. Flexibility is essential due to the rota, which may include weekends. The hourly pay is £13.50.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to emergency calls and delivering first aid when needed
  • Promoting health and wellbeing among residents and supporting their independence and safety
  • Conducting wellbeing assessments and enhancing wellbeing services
  • Monitoring the emergency call system
  • Signposting residents to healthcare professionals
  • Providing health information and awareness sessions
  • Organizing wellbeing focus groups monthly, where appropriate
  • Ensuring health and safety policies are followed
  • Recording interactions with residents accurately

Requirements:

  • While experience and qualifications are beneficial, they are not essential. What matters most is your passion for supporting others and willingness to learn.
  • Experience working with older people
  • Knowledge of primary care and referrals
  • Ability to assess risks and respond appropriately
  • First aid qualification (training can be provided)
  • Understanding of emergency support for residents
  • Experience providing wellbeing advice
