Job Profile
Join our IP Group as a Registry Services Manager to lead our Registry Services (Formalities) Team. The role suits an experienced Formalities Manager or Trade Mark Paralegal eager to lead within a busy, expanding IP team. You will be supported by Registry Services Specialists and Administrators, working alongside Paralegals and Trainees.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Registry Services team, setting high service standards.
- Manage, supervise, and train team members, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Record deadlines and manage the practice database effectively.
- Be an expert user and trainer of Equinox database software.
- Supervise processing of post, communications, and filings.
- Oversee formalities such as POAs, notarisation/legalisation, and renewals.
- Manage client reports and foreign agent databases.
- Ensure updates in UK, EUIPO, and foreign trade mark practices are communicated.
- Coordinate with finance on IP registry deposit accounts.
Special Projects
- Identify and implement workflow improvements and technology solutions.
- Assist with onboarding new clients and data verification.
Skills/Experience
- At least five years\’ experience in a trade marks practice.
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience.
- Excellent communication, IT skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- CITMA Trade Mark Paralegal qualification preferred.
- Knowledge of Equinox, Saegis, and Corsearch is advantageous.
