Experience should include:
- Public dose calculations for discharges (e.g., liquid/gaseous) and from direct radiation.
- Dose calculations for workers.
- Determine source terms and transport to various systems and components at the SMR-160 plant during normal operation and transient conditions.
- Develop radiation protection design features and perform radiation shielding, occupational exposure, and site dose assessment for the SMR plant during normal operation and transient conditions.
- Production of radioactive waste strategy documents.
- Applicants should be prepared to play an active role in a project-driven and highly integrated engineering team.
- Degree qualified in an engineering or science related discipline.
- Ability to work independently and balance competing priorities.
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency with radiation source term, shielding and radiological-consequence dose assessment tools, e.g., MCNP, SCALE, GALE, ARCON96, RADTRAD or other applicable analysis code packages.
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency in performing radiological release and transport calculations to evaluate dose to worker and public.
