Transport UK Rail Replacement provides a specialist service to the UK Rail Industry when train services are disrupted by planned engineering work or emergency incidents. Our highly experienced rail replacement team offer a fully managed service for the provision of coaches, buses, small vehicles, and taxis.

If this is you, then why not apply to join us at Transport UK Rail Replacement? We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality, Safety, Health and Environment (QSHE) Manager. The QSHE Manager will lead the organisation's approach to Quality, Health, Safety, Environmental management, and Sustainability initiatives across rail replacement operations. This role ensures safety performance, quality delivery, environmental protection, and sustainable practices through maintaining ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 management systems. The manager promotes continuous improvement and a just culture through visible leadership across the business, supply chain, and customer base.
Key Responsibilities
- Health and Safety Management (ISO 45001): Develop and implement safety management systems, conduct risk assessments and support control measures, manage incident investigations and preventive actions, coordinate occupational health and wellbeing programs, ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, develop safety training programs, maintain RIDDOR reporting and safety metrics, coordinate safety meetings and improvement plans, collaborate with TUK Group initiatives, communicate openly and coach management on health and safety.
- Quality Management (ISO 9001): Maintain quality management systems and standards, implement corrective and preventive actions, lead internal quality audits, maintain QSHE document records, manage environmental systems in line with ISO 14001, ensure environmental compliance and incident response, lead waste reduction and environmental awareness programs.
- Sustainability Leadership: Develop and implement sustainability strategies, support sustainable procurement, engage stakeholders and supply chain in sustainability, track and report sustainability metrics.
- Integrated Systems Management: Coordinate external certifications and approvals, undertake QSHE audits and reports, develop integrated policies and procedures, support QSHE objectives in operations, lead management review processes.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
- IOSH Chartered Membership or working towards it
- CQI Chartered Membership or working towards it
- IEMA Associate Membership, ideally Practitioner
- ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 Lead auditor experience
- Experienced incident investigator
- Valid UK driving license
Additional Skills and Competencies:
- Knowledge of UK passenger transport systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication
