WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR:

We are seeking a talented and dynamic Proposal Engineer to join our West European team. As a Proposal Engineer, you will play a vital role in securing new business opportunities by preparing compelling and well-structured proposals. You will collaborate with various internal teams, analyze project requirements, develop technical solutions, and present comprehensive proposals that exceed client expectations.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and develop technical solutions.
2. Review and analyze incoming requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for quotations (RFQs), and invitations to bid (ITBs).
3. Conduct thorough technical and commercial analysis of project specifications and constraints.
4. Prepare and present detailed proposals, including scope of work, cost estimations, technical specifications, and delivery schedules.
5. Create visually appealing and professional proposal documents, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with company standards.
6. Collaborate with sales teams to develop effective bid strategies and ensure alignment with client needs.
7. Identify and evaluate risks, challenges, and potential mitigations associated with proposed projects.
8. Coordinate with subject matter experts, engineering teams, and vendors to gather relevant information and technical details for proposals.
9. Maintain a comprehensive database of proposal content.
10. Support post-proposal activities such as clarification meetings, negotiations, and contract handover to project teams.
11. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor offerings to enhance proposal competitiveness.

YOU HAVE:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering.
2. Proven experience in estimating or a similar role within the energy sector.
3. Strong technical aptitude and understanding of complex engineering concepts.
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
6. Ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
7. Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel).
8. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
9. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
10. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
11. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
12. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
13. Capability to work under pressure.
