Join Popeyes and play a crucial role in our UK expansion, partnering with construction, acquisition, and leadership teams to manage property spend, capital investments, and ensure robust financial reporting across our growing estate.

What you’ll be doing as a Property Management Accountant?

  • Overall accountability for property-related expenditure
  • Leading the preparation of monthly occupancy costs in management accounts, working with our junior management accountant
  • Collaborating with the construction team to ensure correct recording of capital expenditure and control spend against Board approvals for each new location
  • Performing regular performance reviews and appraising sites post-launch, including partnering with the Chief Development Officer
  • Supporting the acquisition team in evaluating new site proposals
  • Providing input into month-end activities with key commentary on movements and analyzing problem areas
  • Preparing periodic balance sheet reconciliations and following up on actions with stakeholders
  • Working closely with Accounts Payable to ensure costs are appropriately accounted for and expenditure is correctly managed
  • Owning the Fixed Asset Register and depreciation policy, ensuring assets are recorded and depreciated correctly
  • Assisting with year-end audits and responding to audit queries, preparing key audit files
  • Implementing strong controls and processes within the business
  • Assisting with CAPEX budgeting and forecasting
  • Managing CAPEX cash flow forecasting, updated bi-weekly for accuracy
  • Supporting ad hoc analysis and projects
